History

How it all got started:

Years ago when Evike.com Inc. was just a small shop on Raymond Avenue, a few brave officers (Corporal Mallette, Corporal Torrance, and Corporal Milleson) of the Alhambra Police Department stopped a robbery in action and apprehended the small group of individuals who were attempting to move the entire then-Evike.com onto their trucks.

When Evike.com Inc. moved back to Alhambra in 2012 into a 100,000 square feet warehouse with more than 100 employees, it was reminded of its humble beginning in Alhambra and wanted to commend the Alhambra Police Department and its brave officers. Along with a few other local businesses and citizens who wanted to do the same, it wanted to form an organization that would organize local businesses and individuals to support the Alhambra Police Department.

With state and local budget cuts eliminating needed police equipment and services and the Alhambra Police Department unable to accept donations without a foundation, an organization like this would be crucial to better equip the police department with the needed resources. The Alhambra Police Foundation was born.
